A bronze table cannon
A small bronze tablecannon on a adjustable mount. Originally silvered of wich are still some remains visable. The cannon is in actual functioning order and adjustable by two turning wheels. Based on an oak basement. These type of cannons were used at ceremonies and collected in wunderkammer’s or in cabinets of curiosity’s. The cannon is adjustbale to aim up and down and a full 360 degrees sidewards. Probably France, second half of the 19th century.
Condition: One of the covers on the trunnions is missing, further in good original condition with minor ware of use and age.
